48-channel mixer powered by a 96 kHz FPGA XCVI engine with 24 preamps and 8 stereo FX engines. In addition, the SQ-6 has a 32x32 USB audio interface, AES output, SLink port and 12 stereo mixes.
The Allen & Heath SQ-6 is a next-generation digital mixer powered by the revolutionary 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine. Built to excel in demanding environments such as AV, corporate events, live productions and houses of worship, the SQ-6 offers class-leading high-resolution audio fidelity and ultra-low latency of <0.7ms. The console features 24 unique built-in mic preamps and 8 stereo FX engines with dedicated return channels and access to the renowned RackExtra FX library. SQ is a natural choice for in-ear monitoring setups, providing 12 stereo mixes (configurable as groups or auxes), while Automatic Mic Mixing makes it a great choice for conferences, panel talks and more.
The SQ is equipped with all the features you need to get the perfect mix. Each of the 48 inputs features HPF, a super-fast gate with sidechain and filter, 4-band parametric EQ, and Peak/RMS compressor to control and shape levels and transients. Mixes feature both parametric and 28-band graphic EQs along with compressor as standard, all ready to be engaged when needed. The XCVI core even allows each compressor in the SQ to have its own parallel path, no phase or coherence concerns

The SQ is armed with 8 stereo FX engines and is equipped with the acclaimed RackExtra library, featuring emulations of legendary classic reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulators and more. Each engine has its own dedicated stereo return, so you don't have to use any of the 48 input channels.
The SQ-6 has all the built-in I/O you need for standalone operation. Thanks to the smart SLink port, SQ can also be expanded to 48 mic inputs via a family of 96 kHz and 48 kHz rack expanders and stage boxes (e.g. AB168, AR2412, AR84 and DX168), making it a flexible solution for owners of other Allen & Digital systems Heath. You can also connect your SQ directly to another SQ or even a dLive system.
With each new design, the Allen & Heath team strives to get closer to the ultimate mixing experience. The SQ main panel is centered around a high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen, flanked by an array of backlit encoders that create an intuitive, integrated mix of clear visual overview and instant, hands-on control. Channels and mixes can be dragged and dropped onto any channel strip. In addition, individual naming and color coding is possible. This allows you to build a mixing environment that mirrors your own workflow. Each channel strip features the patented Chromatic channel indicator system, providing instant level readings through the use of variable brightness and color LEDs

SQ is the centerpiece of a growing ecosystem of apps, expanders, audio networking, personal mixers and more, allowing you to combine, customize and extend the content at the heart of your system. It's also compatible with leading audio networking standards - add an audio network card such as Dante or Waves to the SQ I/O port and you're ready to integrate with installed systems, provide digital Split FoH/Monitor and much more.
SQ's advanced automatic microphone mixers (AMM) make it the natural choice for mixing conferences, panel talks and TV shows. They're also fully integrated into the mixer with no added latency, so you don't need to route your audio to an internal DSP rack or external plug-in system. Two fully independent 24-channel AMM systems can be used in two zones or combined into one 48-channel AMM system for larger events.
The integrated SQ-Drive enables quick and easy 96kHz multitrack or stereo recording directly to USB or disc. No software setup, no sound card driver issues, and no extra laptop to bring to the show. The SQ-Drive is also a smart way to manage your music. There is also a built-in 32x32 96kHz audio interface for multi-track recording, track backup or virtual sound control. The interface is Core Audio and ASIOTM compatible and comes with MIDI and DAW control functions.
There are two primary apps for SQ - SQ MixPad for engineers and SQ4You for performers. The SQ MixPad app is available for free on iOS, Android, Windows and macOS platforms, providing offline editing and wireless or wired control of major mixing functions. SQ4You is your personal companion app SQ series mixers, allowing up to 8 performers to control their own mixes from Android or iOS devices. This allows the sound engineer to concentrate on the sound of the front system .
